About RBR ~

River Bend Ranch is a small ranch nestled among the trees on the Avery Creek, 6 miles NW of Potwin, Kansas which is on the edge of the Flint Hills. The Ranch has been in the Otto Guhr family since 1962. Dale and SuZann (Guhr) took over operations in 2002 when they returned from 24 years in Africa working with the Africa Inland Mission among the Turkana and Samburu people (See The Africa Connection).

The Ranch is currently 122 acres (ok, mini ranch) of brome grass. We lease out the grass seasonally to local farmers for cattle grazing which helps financially in keeping the Ranch up and running.

History on the Ranch has seen raising of crops, cattle, hogs, & sheep. And now for the first time, goats.

We raise high percentage & mixed Boer goats. Our purpose is to raise good quality meat butcher goats for the Wichita area & beyond. We have started slowly with just 6 does and this year for the first time we will have goats for sale in October through December (while the supply lasts). But more than all the above, RBR is here for one higher purpose – to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ whom we love, trust, and serve. All the rest is incidental. We give Him the glory for all he has done & will do in our lives.
